Amazing Romantic Gifts – Great Winter Activities
With Spiring just around the corner and the weather getting warm and beautiful again it is great to think of the summer and everything that goes along with it. The trips to the beach, the weekends out camping, the golf trips together, or the many other outdoor activities that we associate with summer and the nice weather. The only problem is it is only spring. So many times the spring weather tempts and teases us with amazing warm weather and gets our hopes up and gets us thinking that winter is over and the short, dark, and snow filled days are gone, at least for now. We get cheery and happy. We even begin to take out our summer close and our flip flops. We might even, on a really nice spring day, be daring enough to put on short and sandals and head outside. Even if it is a little cold, it feels great. After being bundled up all winter we can not help ourselves to feel the freedom and comfort of short and a tee shirt. Anyone who lives in a northerly climate understands this and can relate to what I am talking about. The anticipation of warm weather makes us do crazy things!
Then, of course, the remnants of winter rears its ugly head and blasts us with a cold snap or snowstorm that drops the temperature back down to January norms and the snow falls for what seems to be an eternity. Forcing everyone to shovel the walks once again and put the thoughts of spring and summer away for yet another few weeks. These times are frustrating and, at times, down right depressing. The new found zest for the outdoors and desire to be outside is snuffed out by the cold and people turn up the heat in the house and wait for the snow to melt and the mercury to rise. Everybody loves to see the snow melting but cannot stand it when it returns so quickly.
The article here will give you some ideas on how to act on these days that the cold weather returns in spring time. It is written for individuals and especially couples that tend to become sad these days and don’t know what to do. This article will give you some ideas on how to look things in a positive way and make the most of this time. There are many things you can do to enjoy the last bit of snow and many activities that will let you have fun even in these days. Don’t give up, spring is coming. Until then enjoy the snow as it will be back no sooner than six months. For great romantic indoor activities and products you can try Earthly Delights by Kama Sutra, but for now we are concentrating on great winter outdoor activities.
The best way to find an activity you enjoy and stop feeling bad about the cold weather is to try to think about your childhood. Try to remember things you used to do when you were a child during winter. Think of everything you enjoyed and also think of those things that you wanted to do, but your parents told you that were too dangerous for your age. Perhaps you wanted to stay out all day playing with the snow, but your parents only allowed you to do that for a little time as it was cold. Now it is the time to get back the excitement and thrill of being a child and enjoying the snow. When my wife asked me to build a snow man, I was so reluctant and bored at the idea that I made such a big deal about it. I started nagging for the fact that we would get cold and that we are too old for playing at the snow and everything you can imagine. After a while we were out building a snowman that my wife enjoyed very much and we both had a lot of fun.
I felt really bad for making such a big deal out of it especially since we had such a good time and it was obvious. We even took pictures that we sent back to her family and friends. After a while we received pictures of her family that did the exact same thing. For people that live in a country where it rarely snows, people get very excited about it. This is exactly what I am talking about here, we should regain our childhood enthusiasm. Especially if you are a couple, you shouldn’t let winter bring you do as fights and misunderstanding can also occur.
Another great spring/winter activity which is a throw back to the old school fun we used to have in the snow as kids is having a snowball fight. This was the most fun in the world when I was a kid. We used to get together, build a snow fortress or bunker, build an arsenal of snowballs, and them commence bombardment. I think this is another great ideas for couples to try. Make it fun and light-hearted not an attempt to smoke your partner in the head hit a snowball. Throw handfuls of snow not rock hard snowballs and make it playful and interactive with each other. Even lightly tackle one another and roll in the snow. It is cold but so much fun and it will have you and you partner laughing and enjoying each others company more than ever before.
My main point here is to help couples avert the winter blues. We have all been in the situation where it looks as though winter is over and the weather is going to remain warm; the snow has melted and it appears that it is going to stay that way. Only to be ambushed by a week or two weeks of cold and snow that dashes our hopes of being able to get outside and enjoy the outdoors again. Do not let this happen. Revert back to childhood and take advantage of the weather rather than letting it get you down. Go out and build a snowman or have a snowball fight with your partner. You do not need anyone else and it is a great time no matter your age. A youthful mind makes for a youthful body and a youthful relationship. So the next time it snows in the spring embrace it do not curse it! You can stay inside and romance it up with great sensual products like Honey Dust, but I want to give great outdoor activities for couples to enjoy together.
