Guy Needs Help Decoding Girl Body Language – Girls Only Please!?
Ok, first, I’m really only looking for girls opinions on this because I don’t think guys will have the correct answer..
So anyways, I see this girl that I am attracted to at the gym about 3-4 times a week… I know that she is aware of me, but we have never talked, I know she is 18 ( I am 22, Junior), and a freshman from overhearing her conversations. Sometimes I think i catch her looking at me, but it could just be my imagination. Anyways,..today we were both headed to the cubbyholes at the same time to get our stuff.. and I was going to make a small friendly gesture to finally break the ice between us..but she put her head down to avoid eye contact. I didn’t say anything and we both just grabbed our stuff and walked away.. It came off to me that she was acting shy…like she was afraid to make eye contact so close. This is the first time we have ever came so close to each other, and I would think if she was interested she would have wanted to take advantage of this opportunity.
I think we are similar people..we both go to the gym often, i think we are both the same nationality (italian)..and we are similar in height. and body type.
I have been hit on and complimented enough to be certain that I am a good looking guy. I take care of myself, dress well, and work out on a regular basis.I don’t see any reason why she wouldn’tt be attracted to me.. Even though I am confident in how i look, I am still shy as far as starting a conversation with a good looking girl in a gym…so Idon’tt think i could ever just walk up to her and say "hey"
so i guess my question is, if a girl is attracted to a guy, would she have made the eye contact? do you think she couldn’t because she is shy or intimidated? or is she just not interested? Could a girl be interested in a guy, but nothing will ever happen because neither person will make the first gesture?
I think maybe she is a bit shy… maybe just give her a smile when you see her next and then she might feel a bit more relaxed.. then you could try and start a conversation.
