do you believe in the secret law of attraction?

April 4, 2010 · Posted in Secrets of Attraction

i have the book and just wanted to know what your view on it was. has it worked for any of you?

actually the book itself "The Secret" is just a TOOL. its like the book chicken soup for the soul. after reading and watching The Secret, yes I admit it does help. why? – it opens my mind that "if we think positive, feel good about what we want, feel good about ourselves, and do something about what we want", it will really happen. it may not happen on the day you want it but it may come when you least expected it.

some examples that happened to me when I became positive on what i want.
1. I dreamt on travelling abroad, guess what? i’ve been to Bangkok Thailand for a vacation one month after reading that motivational book; [i read d book August2008 and I flew to Thailand September2008]

2. I wanted to buy a DLSR Nikon camera, guess what? I worked hard and think positive that i will earn money, guess what again, I bought my Nikon D40 camera tru my earned commission. [I'm a sales person]

this were just some simple experiences i’ve achieved by being positive.

The Secret – Law of Attraction again is just a TOOL in helping you to open your mind that if you THINK POSITIVE, FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF, FEEL GOOD ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT and "DO" SOMETHING ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT… YOU REALLY CAN ACHIEVE IT".

I tried it in earnest for about two months and it worked really well. I won an award in my field that I always wanted. The real secret that they mention early on in the book is that it’s very hard work to maintain. There is a lot working against you. So, yes, it does work, but you won’t get it for nothing!References :

I can’t say for sure whether or not the secret law of attraction exists, but being positive, as the book suggests, really does help. The way I see it, it’s all about how you perceive it. If you look at the positives in a bad situation, you’re not stressed, you can think of a better solution and you don’t get depressed. Eventually, it all works out in your favor. You’ve done it – but it’s your positive attitude that has helped you achieve it.

Enjoy the book. It’s a good one! References :

I believe that this whole topic receives FAR more attention than it deserves. For one thing, the author DID NOT invent this idea herself. For another, poor Oprah made a big mistake giving it so much attention. And for a third, there IS no "secret law of attraction." What there IS in all this is a huge sense of selfishness, of the kind that says "If I wish enough I will get what I want." Sort of "When you wish upon a star" kind of thinking.

And the equating of it with "Positive Thinking" is just plain wrong. For example, read the original book by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, "The Power of Positive thinking." and you’ll see how far off and how self-centered this so-called "law" is.

What’s my view on the book? It’s made the author a ton of money, and that’s it.
